App releases and website updates.
OCTOBER 22, 2026 · APP 1.3Now with the editor.
Version 1.3 adds an editor for your recordings, on the Mac App Store and as a direct download.
- Click Edit Layout after a recording, or choose File → Edit a Recording… to open a video from your Mac.
- Put the video on a background with padding, rounded corners and a shadow, in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5.
- With Save for editing, put your camera beside the screen, in a bubble or full screen, switch layouts during the video, zoom in on your clicks and restyle the pointer.
- Trim, split, reorder and delete clips, change the speed of any part, blur or pixelate private details, and add titles, labels, boxes and arrows.
- Make captions on your Mac from what’s said, then cut long pauses and filler words, or cut by clicking words.
- Add your own music, remove background noise from voice-overs, and export MP4 (H.264 or HEVC) or GIF, with a subtitle file for the captions.
- Window recordings now show the app’s popovers and panels, and if a recording stops on its own, the app tells you why.
Download for MacSEPTEMBER 28, 2026 · APP 1.2Put yourself in the picture.
Version 1.2 adds your camera, a redesigned recorder, and a simple way to report a problem.
- Camera: show yourself in a bubble on screen while you record. With Save for editing, the camera is also kept as its own video.
- A cleaner main window and a compact floating recording bar.
- Help → Report a Problem: if something goes wrong, send a report in two clicks. The app keeps a small activity log on your Mac for this. It holds no recordings, screen content, window titles, or file names, and nothing is sent unless you send it.
- macOS asks for camera access only when you turn Camera on.
Download for MacSEPTEMBER 24, 2026 · APP 1.1More control over your recording.
Version 1.1 adds video quality choices, a save-for-editing option, a movable recording bar, and improved screen access setup.
- Video quality: 1080p, 4K, or full resolution, 30 or 60 fps, H.264 or HEVC, with an estimated file size.
- Save for editing keeps the pointer and each sound separate, ready to export to HyperFrames and open in Studio.
- Drag the floating recording bar anywhere while you record.
- Screen access setup now adds the app to System Settings reliably.
- The app now runs in the macOS App Sandbox.
If you are updating from version 0.3.0 or earlier, macOS will ask for screen recording access again and you will need to choose your save folder again.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2026 · APP 0.2.0A new release. A real look.
- Record a custom area of your screen, not just a whole display or window.
- A redesigned recorder in two themes, Graphite and Porcelain.
- System audio and microphone controls, together in one place.
- Simpler screen recording permission setup.
- A new app icon.
The website now includes the 0.2.0 installer, app screenshots in both themes, and a short recording demo.

Version 0.1.0 is available for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later.

Apple Silicon only; no Intel build is provided. Single-window recording requires macOS 15.2 or later.
